Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Bethlehem will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in Pennsylvania usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–8 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (610) 419-4555. The restaurant is very sneaky. I ordered a half chicken once and they gave me a meal. I said ok that’s my fault. This time my friend was very clear that she wanted just one full chicken and one half chicken and one order of fries. The restaurant charged two full meals and an extra order of fries. The chicken is decent but i had the carne one time and i couldn’t even eat it. It was so hard. We try to support local businesses but when you do things to take advantage of your customers it’s unethical. Giant is right across the street and their chickens are very close and you know you won’t be scammed. Restaurants have a 55% chance of success in PA in 5 years. Let’s see if they are around in 2030.

The dish that I got was very flavorful. This was the first time ever having Peruvian food and it did not disappoint. I’m glad I decided to try something different.

Really great spot. The ceviche was super fresh and full of flavor, definitely one of the best I’ve had in a while. The staff were really friendly which made the whole experience even better. The place itself has a really warm, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay a bit longer and enjoy your meal. I’d definitely come back again!

This Peruvian restaurant was absolutely delicious. The food was amazing and they also had alfajores!!! I bought two of them and devoured them. Sorry I forgot to take pictures of the cookies. We got the empanada, which they explain that it was baked which I liked! And we ordered the lomo saltado and steak, chicken, seafood fried rice. Soooo very good and flavorful!!! Love authentic Peruvian food!!! Would definitely try again if back in the area!

El Carbonaso is a casual, counter service Peruvian restaurant located on West Union Boulevard in Bethlehem. It's open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. With the former owners of Machu Picchu behind it, I knew I was in for some good, authentic Peruvian food. I started with the causa de pollo, a yellow pepper seasoned mashed potato dish filled with chicken. It reminded me of a chicken salad sandwich, but layered with potato instead of bread. Next was the caldo de gallina, a hearty, comforting chicken soup with a rich broth, loaded with chicken on the bone, potatoes, and noodles. For my main I went with the chaufa de 3 carnes, a Peruvian stir-fried rice with chicken, beef and shrimp. My friend had the lomo saltado de pollo, which is sautΓ©ed chicken with tomatoes, onions, and fries. If you want some extra flavor, the white sauce is a must. It's a creamy garlic mayo that goes great with everything. Overall, a great spot. The staff at El Carbonaso does Peruvian food right.
